The "Thean Lip Thong Memorial Scholarship" has been established from the donation contributed by Ir. Thean Lip Thong. This scholarship is open to UM university students.  The applicants would need to comply with the terms and conditions below to apply for this scholarship:

1. Applicant shall be a Malaysian Citizen.
2. Applicant must be following a course of study in University Malaya
3. Applicant is following or will enroll for a course of study in any branch of the engineering professions accredited by the BEM & IEM.
4. Applicant is not holding another scholarship with exception of PTPTN Loan.
5. Achieved five principles and obtained more than 70 units or equivalent in the STPM.
6. Applicant have been placed by the Unit Pusat Universiti into the stated courses.
7. Have been actively involved in extra-curriculum activities during previous study at school or other institute.
