Event Date: 5th July 2018 – 6th July 2018 Time: 8.00 am – 5.30 pm Presenter: Prof Martin Smith Venue: Chin Fung Kee Auditorium, Wisma IEM, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
ABOUT THE
SHORT COURSE
Modern projects are
becoming more complex and demanding on the knowledge base and experience
required of the global engineer and project manager. Time is always too short
and the requirements of the contract are expanding to meet the ever increasing
expectations of the 4th revolution.
Having the
right tools for the job is the essence. Learn how to think differently! The Short Course - A
Quantum Leap
is a tried and tested approach to managing and
controlling the complexities of differing demands on the next generation. Learn
how to analyse and synthesize data embedded in the ever-increasing number of
documents forming part of the contract. Using practical experience consolidated
into the palm of your hand and adopting an alternative approach to problem
solving, learn how to re-organize your knowledge in a way that is easy to
remember and access.
The course will
combine a series of lectures, practical workshops and case studies as well as
an introduction to the New FIDIC-ITA Conditions for Contract for Underground
Works which is planned for publication later this year. The course is the development and culmination
of over 40 years on the job experience in 20 countries for the full life cycle
of major construction projects.
