As in the last two years, IEM Women Engineer Section had been invited by APNN and KWSE to recommend two lady engineers to attend the 2017 KWSE/APNN Young Women Scientist Camp (YWS Camp) which will be held from 31st  August to 2nd  September, 2017 in Seoul, Korea.  We are therefore pleased to invite interested members to submit application for our consideration.  For your information, this year’s YWS Camp will be held in conjunction with BIEN2017 (International Conference of Women Scientists and Engineers 2017) under the theme of “Woman Scientists and Engineers Shaping the Future”.

BIEN conference has been initiated in 2003 as the first international conference organized by The Association of Korean Woman Scientists and Engineers (KWSE). This international conference aims to spread and exchange the achievements of Bio, Information, Environment/Energy/Earth, Nano and Space technology. The conference also tries to strengthen the global capacity of women scientists and engineers by building international networks for collaboration and partnerships between domestic and foreign scientists and engineers.

The 2017 YWS Camp would be comprises of oral and poster presentations in the research fields, invited lecture, mentoring, discussion and cultural programs. This year’s camp would be an excellent opportunity to meet global leaders as well as to experience the global vision in science and technology.
