ISO 50001 Energy Management System - Best Practice

This workshop organised by IChemE and IEM provides the fundamentals of a close-loop energy management system, and its role in enabling sustained energy performance improvements. It gives participants good grounding on the requirements of ISO 50001, and encourages critical thinking in implementing and integrating ISO 50001 into the organisation. It also highlights best practices from organisations of all sizes and global locations.

Course Facilitator

Kit Oung is an award-winning, energy savings director. He has written (and co-written) six energy management books, is Vice Chair at Energy Managers' Association, and Advisory Board member of Resource Efficiency research (EPOS) at University of Gent, 2degrees Network, and Institute of Chemical Engineers' Energy Leadership Forum. Kit works with businesses to achieve real-andachievable energy savings using high-return low-investment strategies and has 18 years of handson energy management experience in a range of commercial and industrial companies across four continents. 

From a standards perspective, he was the convenor of ISO 50002, EN 16247 and PAS 51215. He is a lead auditor, trainer, and UK's principal expert for ISO 50001, and ISO 50003. Currently, Kit sits on ISO's JTCG committee writing the integrated use of management systems handbook.
