Introduction
In this talk, various trends and changes facing the world now are discussed which include urbanization and inequality in wealth distribution,clean water, food distribution, energy, global warning and climate change, and security. All these require new ideas and inventions which will only be possible with excellent engineers. Educating good engineers is therefore the driver for the success of any nation. He will also talk about the challenges faced by Malaysian engineer vis-à-vis globalization and mobility of engineers in ASEAN, APEC and TPPA economies. The talk will also be touching on what skills young engineering graduates should acquire to face the challenges in the globalized era.
