SYNOPSIS
This gives introduction to Python Programming language, emphasizing the characteristics and functions of the language. Integrated development environment (IDE) software used to write scripts is not the focus. Instead, a simple text editor can be used. "Anaconda" software providing necessary tools is expected to be installed before the class. Python 2.7 version is chosen but other versions are accepted.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Chuan Chin, Pu graduated from The Nottingham Trent University, UK with B.Eng. (Hons.) Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1999. He also received his M. Eng. Telecommunication from Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia in 2005. After that he went to south Korea Dongseo University to pursue PhD and graduated in 2009. During his PhD studies, he did research in the field of ubiquitous IT. His experience includes 6 years teaching in KBU International College, 5 years teaching in Sunway University, and 2.5 years in Mimos Berhad as staff engineer. During the time in KBU International College, he taught telecommunication subjects. During the time in Sunway University, he did research in RF devices localization, and taught computer network subjects. His current job now involves in the research of radar small target detection, and projects about vehicles detection and classification. He is using Python programming for his research and image processing projects.
NOTE: - As this is a hands on class, participants are required to bring your own Laptop. - All the necessary software will be provided during the class - Limited seats are available on a "first come first served" basis (maximum 10 participants).
