SYNOPSIS
Selectivity or discrimination of protection devices in an electrical installation is key for the overall resilience and availability of the electrical infrastructure. Data Center power chain infrastructure often relies on Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) to ensure maximum availability to the critical loads.
In this session, we will cover key design criteria for Data Center electrical installations in reference to both local and international standards. We will also cover what is the role of the UPS when it comes selectivity in the data center under various scenarios and finally we will also share some best practices and real-life examples of sizing and installation practices.
