SYNOPSIS:-

The Malaysia-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project has been garnering interest on the media more than 5 years back. Unlike other rail link infrastructures such as LRTs and MRTs, the HSR will be an intercity connector. The First phase of the HSR having 7 stations in Malaysia and 1 station in Singapore. The operation target year being 2026 looks promising with the recent announcement of each individual stations concepts and preliminary design being released.

Ho Chin Soon Research (HCSR) has published two books on topics relating on the HSR. One in 2013 and the other in 2017. Part of the talk will touch on the land bank ownerships surrounding each and every stations of the HSR. Analysis of impact of the HSR for the real estate context. Special focus will be highlighted on growth areas such as Malaysia Vision Valley in Seremban. Examples of HSR best practices of other countries. Our personal experiences of the HSR in other countries as well as ambitious ideas that goes beyond the gambit of the first phase of the HSR. Further sharing will include any further important information disclosed by MYHSR and Singapore LTA.


SPEAKER BIODATA

En. Ishmael Ho attained his LLB from the UK. Backed by his legal   background, he entered the property industry from the legal angle. His widening involvement in the property industry includes joining Cushman & Wakefield Malaysia, as well as being part of the research house in Sunrise Berhad before joining Ho Chin Soon Research as the company’s special project manager. He is currently the company’s CEO.

Under his leadership, he expanded the company’s product coverage to include Seremban & Port Dickson, Perak and Kedah on top of the existing Greater KL, Iskandar Malaysia and Penang. He has lead the team in providing services to both the private & public sectors as part of his aspiration to contribute to nation building.

En. Ishmael Ho occasionally writes articles on real estate matters. An international speaker for events such as The Edge Forum, ASLI (Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute), iProperty, Property Guru, Nanyang property expo, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and occasionally as an invited speaker for developers’ private property launch. En. Ishmael Ho was elected as FIABCI Malaysia International Committee Member from year 2014 to 2016 and continued his term for 2016 to 2018.

Ir. Yam Teong Sian. A professional engineer. IEM immediate past Honorary Secretary and currently an IEM Exco member. He has more than 30 years of working experience in consultancy and property development. Deputy Chairman of UEDSIG.

Dr. Wang Hong Kok. IEM Honorary Treasurer 2016-2018. He has more than 30 years of working experience in property development. He is the Principal Lecturer, Faculty of Built Environment, TAR University College. Chairman of UEDSIG.
