SYNOPSIS

Lafarge Concrete (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, is the concrete arm of Lafarge Malaysia Berhad, who is a member of Lafarge Holcim Group of companies. Lafarge Concrete is one of the leading ready-mixed concrete companies in Malaysia with 40 batching plants throughout Peninsular Malaysia. In line with Lafarge Group’s continuous pursuit for quality. Majority of its plants are certified to MS ISO 9001:2000.

Besides the conventional standard concrete, Lafarge Concrete leads the way in carrying a full range of innovative structural and decorative concrete products. The key projects that Lafarge Concrete has supplied to include KL Sentral Lot A, CIMB Tower Raft Foundation, Mid- Valley City Development Ph 2 – Podium block The Gardens, Menara Worldwide KL, where Lafarge Concrete supplied steel fiber and watertight concrete as topping to improve on waterproofing properties and minimize cracking. Lafarge Concrete was awarded the sole ready-mixed concrete supplier to KLIA2 project. 600,000m3 of concrete was supplied to the project. Other projects supplying to at present include Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) at Pengerang and Jimah 2 Power Plant.

We will be visiting Lafarge Concrete Plant situated at Jalan Kilang, Petaling Jaya. The wet plant at Jalan Kilang, has a rated production capacity of 200m3/hr. The visit include a tour of the storage and handling of raw materials, laboratory testing of materials, batching plant and batching cabin.

• The visit is strictly limited to 40 participants registered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please bring your own PPE, especially safety shoes, because the readymix plant may not have your shoe size.
