SYNOPSIS

The speaker will start presenting on the introduction to Project Management Institute (PMI), Introduction to PMI Malaysia Chapter, and Overview of PMI Certifications and Eligibility Criteria including Overview of Project Management Book of Knowledge 5th Edition and the Ten (10) Knowledge Areas related to engineering projects.

Each of the ten knowledge areas contains the processes that need to be accomplished within its discipline to achieve effective project management. Each of these processes also falls into one of the five process groups, creating a matrix structure such that every process can be related to one knowledge area and one process group. It is also related to the topics of Registered Education Providers (REP’s), PMP Examination, Pathway to Certification and CCRS and the Talent Triangle.

This talk will be useful for engineer who wants to learn more about Project Management, Project Management Institute and its Certifications. The target group for talk would be business owners, CEOs and directors involved in Project Management, engineers from various engineering disciplines and industries, government agencies, academics, researchers, as well as engineering students and engineering interns.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Krishnan is a 4 term PMI Malaysia Chapter Leader. He was elected as Chapter President in October 2015 was returned unopposed in April 2017. His Qualifications include BSc (Econs) Hons in Accounting & Financial Management (University of Buckingham), MBA (University of Edinburgh), Chartered Management Accountant  and  Associate Member (ACMA) of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Chartered Accountant (CA(M))  and member of  Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

He has more than 30 years of wide working experience in a variety of industries obtained through internationally acclaimed companies such as EY, Sungai Way, Raytheon, Schlumberger, Vivendi, CIMA, NCR and Dell. He has held increasingly responsible roles that have evolved from Country specific to Regional and even Global roles in both Asia and Europe.  He applies his entrepreneurial spirit to make a difference to individuals and society

His passions include the Environment (Energy Reduction & Sustainable Forestry), Education, Wellness and Networking.
