BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Mr Ismail obtained his Bachelor in Quantity Surveying from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1985 and started his career in 1986 as a contract engineer in the tele-communications field and quickly rose to managerial level. In 1992, he joined the Oil & Gas Industry and served with Oil & Gas companies for 14 years as a Contract and Commercial Manager. Thereafter, he served as a Business Development Director of Nalco Chemical Industries Malaysia Sdn Bhd for 2 years mainly procuring international O&G chemical contracts within the ASEAN region. At the same time, Ismail has also been a shareholder and director of several companies dealing in information technology and the natural gas vehicle (NGV) industry often developing and advising business ventures in these fields. Since 2009 to date, Ismail has helmed his own private limited company, Green Depot Technology Sdn Bhd specializing in energy conservation and carbon management consultancy work, among others. He has also worked extensively with the Malaysian federal and state governments in an advisory capacity.
