SYNOPSIS

A physical law or scientific law, according to the Oxford English dictionary, "is a theoretical principle deduced from particular facts, applicable to a defined group or class of phenomena, and expressible by the statement that a particular phenomenon always occurs if certain conditions be present." Wikipedia.

So, if the physical laws are always true than we can repeat success every time when the success conditions are presents.  Similarly, we can avert failures or even predict poor consequences whenever the conditions are met.As long as we live in this earth the physical laws will always govern us. The questions are: Are we aware of the physical laws that govern our life?

How can we benefit from the laws?To be successful, we must not only understand the physical laws. We must use the laws to our advantage. The physical laws are always present. We just need to realize how to get the laws working to our favours. To fly, you don’t ignore gravity. You use the understanding of gravity to defy falling down. This talk will explain the physical laws in practical application. Engineers need to be reminded that physical laws apply to both engineering need as well as other aspect of life, management, business or relationship. The talk intends to change the way engineers think about physics and its impact on our lives.

Ir. Al-Khairi Mohd Daud has over 24 years of experienced in Oil and Gas, petrochemical, oleo chemical, manufacturing and facilities management He is the country expert for ASEAN Energy Management Accreditation Scheme and an expert in healthcare facilities management. He has assisted in drafting few Malaysian Standards including the Malaysian Standard for Quality in Healthcare. He has presented papers in national and international conference especially on maintenance and asset management. He is the owner of Faqeh Management who specialized in asset and energy management.
