SYNOPSIS
Organizations are commonly defined as instruments of purpose. They are seen as coordinated by the corporate vision, mission, goals and objectives. Organization performance relates to how successfully it performs the functions to meet these goals and objectives. Recent rapid technological advancement opens a new era, in which a global competitive environment has emerged. Traditional organizational management is no longer appropriate in this highly competitive global market. In this environment, businesses must compete for their survival through continuous improvement and innovation to maintain, let alone gain market advantages. An organization must be able to identify those measures that enable it to respond effectively to adapt to the ever changing business environment. Consequently, meeting the desired organizational performances under these conditions becomes increasingly challenging. This talk will review the various determinants and factors that can affect organizational performance and how it can be optimized.

Summary of Work Experience
Since 1990, employed by Meiden Malaysia (www.meiden.com.my), a company in the electrical engineering and construction industry in Malaysia. The company is a subsidiary of Meidensha Corporation, Japan (http://www.meidensha.com/index.html), a manufacturer of electrical equipment and provides electrical engineering products and services to both the private and public sectors in Malaysia. Currently holds the position of Senior GM and Director in the company.
