Hike to RAF B-24 Liberator (KL654R) Aircraft Crash Area - Gunung Telapak Buruk (Jelebu, N.S)
Gunung Telapak Buruk at a height of 1193 meters is located near Seremban town, Negeri Sembilan. The mountain and adjacent hills form part of the Berembun Forest Reserve. It is the crash site of a World War II B-24 Liberator bomber in August, 1945. The B-24 is a four engine heavy bomber built mainly for the US Air Force, but also widely used by the British Royal Air Force. All 8 crew on board were killed. Access to trailhead is via Jalan Jelebu (highway route 86) to Kuala Klawang. The trailhead start next to telecommunication tower. Distance to the crash site is 5 km and expected will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach crash site.
