Synopsis
In the past, engineering and technology have transformed the world and improved the quality of our life. In others to make our engineer more visible and better, this round table discussion is aim to provide a platform for young engineers and engineering students to understand the issues, challenges and opportunities of engineering industry.
Biodata of Speaker
Ir. Rocky H.T. Wong, P.Eng., FIEM, is an Electrical Engineer who has 50 years involvement/participation in the sectors dealing with Energy, Power and Environmental engineering and technology. Retired from active engineering practices, Ir. Rocky Wong nevertheless continues, actively, with his committed contributions to the Engineering Profession. Firstly as a resource person, mentoring young engineers and/or other engineering services professionals (ESPs) and serving in bodies [both Profession Regulatory Authorities (PRA’s), and professional Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s)] dealing with the education and training of engineers and other ESPs. Ir. Rocky Wong chairs TEEAM’s Standard Writing Organization (SWO) that develops Malaysian Standards on electrical installation, protection and insulation. He writes and speaks extensively on issues relating to Globalization & Liberalization focusing on Trade in Services under the ambit of WTO/AEC/TPP/APEC/FTA’s and companion matters.
