Synopsis Asterisk IP-Telephony development has shaken the whole telephony world for the pass 14 years from call center CRM, PABX, Keyphone System and Interactive Voice Response (IVR). Huge telephony technology companies has succumbed to such evolution that was not experienced since the invention of telephone more that hundred years ago. Application of Asterisk to telephony world has not stop there. It has further affecting technology application in PA, Security and door Access, Video application, training and many more in various fields of IP and IT.
The objectives of this workshop are as follow:- • To understand the technology and features that define an IP-PBX and UC • To be able to install, setup, configure & trouble shoot the IP-PBX by the end of the workshop • An opportunity to quickly acquire & understand the basic requirements of VoIP technology specifically in IP-PBX.

Biodata of Speaker L.C. Chen is presently the Managing Director of Sita Group of Companies, a company involved in providing total enterprise - wide network solutions to major corporates in Malaysia and within Asean region. He graduated from University of Reading, England, U.K. in 1976 with B. Sc.- in Mathematics & Computer Science. He is a Member/EXCO of MNCC, KLSCCCI, and FGBMF. Professional working experiences include working in NCR locally and Asia-Pacific region. Promoting Open Source Software and Hardware is one of his hobby.
