SYNOPSIS

The invention of photography has enabled mankind to keep pictorial records of the happenings. Just having a good picture of the object can say a thousand words and help communicating quickly the thought and the intended message of the photographer. This is particularly so for engineering projects and undertakings- a skill all engineers should acquire.

In this talk, the speaker will share his travel and photography experience on both scenic daily life as well as some of the more interesting buildings and engineering structures he had captured with his high powered camera during his travel. These include the amazing Moscow Underground Palace, the Aqueducts of Segovia, Spain, and the Falkish Wheel rotating boat lift of Scotland (the only one of its kind in the world) and the astoundingly beautiful bridges of Constantine, Algeria. These are examples of good pictorial record and will help to enhance technical presentation when needed
He also will share many tips on how to take clear and effective pictures, based on your own perception, and about travelling and travelling cameramanship ,eg. , importance of travelling light, the pros and cons of FIT ( free independent travelling) or packaged tour, appropriate camera equipment to lug around and the essentials of a good photograph.
