SYNOPSIS

Open source software has changed the world of software development and distribution from a hobbyist activity to powering large enterprise IT infrastructures. One of the most well-known open source software is the operating system, Linux. The operating system must be reliable, secure, easily managed and flexible enough to take advantage of new solutions in the community. Red Hat uses a community-powered approach to provide reliable and high-performing open source software such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and also cloud, virtualizaiton and middleware technologies. This presentation will highlight the benefits of enterprise open source software, in focus, the Linux operating system.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Shazli Mansor bin Mohd Ghazali is a Solution Architect for Platform and has 18 years in the industry with experiences in post-sales, pre-sales and Solution Architect from small to large enterprise customers ranging in various products such as UNIX, virtualization, server and storage consolidation and cloud. His current product responsibility includes the Red Hat Platform products portfolio which include Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Cloudforms and Red Hat Openstack.

Shazli received his Bachelor in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of New South Wales (1998) and Masters in Business Administration from Multimedia University (2007).
