SYNOPSIS

Sterilization is a critical process in the palm oil mill as it determines the quality and quantity of the Crude Palm Oil produced.  Taner Industries Sdn Bhd is manufacturing the patented Vertical Sterilizer in its factory at Ijok. It is claimed that the innovative sterilizer can improve the reception and sterilization of the fresh fruit bunches (ffb) at the mills. In the conventional sterilization system, the ffb are sterilized inside the long horizontal cylindrical pressure vessels while in the new system, they are sterilized in high precision vertical pressure sterilizer vessels.  The large marshalling yard, rail tracks and ffb sterilizer cages that are associated with the conventional system are replaced by the conveyor system for ffb delivery.
