Biodata of Speaker

Mr. Kan Jonathan received his bachelor’s degree with honors' in Mechatronic from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2006. Prior to that, he was involved in the deployment of the turnstile ticketing system at our National Bukit Jalil Stadium. Subsequently, Mr. Kan moved into Corporate Finance and Private Equity investments as a  Senior Investment Associate of Hadrons Capital Sdn. Bhd.

Founding ERS Energy Sdn. Bhd. in 2009, he was certified by the ISPQ and Pusat Tenaga Malaysia (present GreenTech Malaysia) for  the design and installation of grid-connected photovoltaic systems. Apart from the certifications from Bosch and SMA to provide technical and warranty support, he has also completed numerous trainings which include courses for large scale solar PV systems from SMA Solar Academy in Germany.

He has provided consultation for the development of the first solar PV farm in Malaysia, whilst providing feedback to locally produced inverter manufacturer. He has also assisted with off-grid consultation in our national initiative to provide power in rural areas, along with the Meteorological Department for off-grid weather stations. To date, he has successfully deployed over 200 inverters through ERS Energy for off-grid, on-grid, and hybrid solar PV solutions nationwide.
