Ir. David Ng Shiu Yuen
Ir. David Ng is a Practising Engineer and Principle of Dereka Group. He obtained his BEng from London and has a MSoCEng in Structural Steel Design from Imperial College. He is currently the Chairman of the Technical Committee MS EN 1993 and also IEM Civil & Structural Engineering Technical Division.

Ir. MC Hee
Ir M C Hee is a practicing Structural Consulting Engineer and Principal of M C Hee & Associates. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Master of Engineering Science (M.Eng.Sc) from The University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. His expertise is in the design and construction of high-rise buildings particularly in value engineering and alternative design.

Ir. Tu Yong Eng
Ir. Tu Yong Eng is a Practising Engineer and Principle of YL Design Consultancy Services, director of Eng Elite Sdn Bhd and Pembinaan Kesan Bitara Sdn Bhd. He obtained his BEng and M.Sc from UM. He is currently a committee member of the IEM-SWO “Code of Practice for Design of Structural Steel” andthe advisor of Civil & Structural Engineering Technical Division. His main interests are structural engineering and mathematics.

Prof. Dr Shahrin Mohammad
Prof. Dr. Shahrin is currently the dean of civil engineering faculty, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He has 25 years of experience in lecturing, supervising students, conducting research and conducted short courses in structural steel analysis and design. He is a fellow with Steel Technology Centre and a committee member of the IEM-SWO “Code of Practice for Design of Structural Steel”.

Ir. Mun Kwai Peng
Ir Mun Kwai Peng operates a Stresswave Measurement company for providing services for dynamic load test on piles. He has been involved in SWO works for many years for the development of Eurocodes for Malaysia. He is currently the SWO coordinator for the development of all structural codes for Malaysia in IEM. Such as MSEN1990; MSEN1991-1; MSEN1992-1; MSEN1993-1. MSEN1997-1 (completed) and MSEN1998-1, MS1553 Wind Code.

Dr. Ahmad Baharuddin Abd Rahman
Dr. Ahmad Baharuddin is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor. Before joining UTM, he was a site engineer at Pernas Engineering Sdn. Bhd. where he gained practical experiences in the construction of steel transmission line towers. He earned his Ph.D. in 1999 from the University of Sheffield, UK. His PhD research was related to the development of advanced analysis of steel frames. He has been involved in the teaching of structural steelwork design for more than 15 years. Besides teaching, he is also active in giving short courses on structural steelwork design to promote the use of steel structures in Malaysia. He is also a committee member of the IEM-SWO “Code of Practice for Design of Structural Steel”.
