BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Dr.-Ing. Mohd Zamri Che Wanik received his BSc. from University of Evansville, U.S.A., MEngSc. from Curtin University of Technology, Australia and Doctor of Ingenieurwissenschaften (equivalent to PhD)  from University Duisburg Essen, Germany in 1997, 2002 and 2011 respectively all in Electrical Engineering focusing on Power System.  He is a Senior Lecturer at  Dept. of Electrical, Electronics and System Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Dr.-Ing. Mohd Zamri works closely with TNB through TNB Research. TNB Research is a research arm of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). He was with TNB Research on a part-time basis between May 2011 to April 2012. Between Sept. 2012 to Aug. 2014 he was seconded full time to TNB Research as a principle researcher.  Dr.-Ing. Mohd Zamri has been working in the area of renewable energy integration to power system for many years. He has led a number of research and development projects in this area at both TNB Research and UKM.  He is a member of IEEE PES, a senior member of IEEE and a member of CIGRE.
