SYNOPSIS
There is much discussion about how effective it is to remove the heat from Data Centre using outdoor air as lowest possible energy approach from a engineer’s perspective. But, have we understood from the IT equipment perspective? With the speed of technology evolving and hardware refresh, can a mechanical engineer design the cooling system that can never be challenged by the client? The networking night will uncover the secret of future proof cooling system design.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Mr Lucas Mellusso holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Genova, Italy. He joined Schneider Electric in 2004 as part of the pre-sales support team out of Denmark and has since gained extensive sales and technical expertise in the data centre design field. He is currently the Regional Cooling Solution Manager, East Asia. During his tenure, Mr Mellusso held various key positions in Europe, United States, Australia and Asia Pacific and he is currently responsible for the Cooling line of business. During the past 10 years Luca worked closely with the some of the top Fortune 500 Companies designing mission critical data centres. Among these customers are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Intel and many American Government and University Departments. Mr. Mellusso designed a number of high density DC solutions, in particular a 20KW/rack solution for a super-computer node at Mechanical Engineering lab at Stanford University in California.
