SYNOPSIS

Explanations about the latest international standard applies for switchgear and control gear assemblies. 13 verification items according to the Annex D in IEC 61439-1 to be full fill for prior certification. Sample of test video will be shown for the method of testing. The test result proved and verified that the ASSEMBLIES design withstand ability to the testing criteria. Overall verification method were based on the event of certification procedures. The presentation reviews actual case studies with the aim of providing Engineers an overview of solutions successfully applied in various rehabilitation projects to meet differing needs and objectives.

Session 2: TYPE Test Certificate Design Verification Assessment
A guideline for a proper assessment of TYPE test Certificates. Assessment of the test result clause by clause. The performance of the ASSEMBLIES design reflected to the test results shall be discuss.

Session 3: Medium Voltage Switchgear with IEC62271-200 standard
A guideline to guarantee high reliability of operation and safety design


BIODATA OF SPEAKERS

1. Ir. Aaron Leong Yek Loong

• 17 years’ experience in electrical engineering profession of M&E consultant and switchboard
  design and maintenance
• A director of one of the leading switchboard manufacturer in Malaysia
• Presented a paper on Switchboard Design & Maintenance for Building Services in IEM twice
   in year 2006 and in IET on February 2008. A similar format was conducted on June 2008
   and Feb 2009
• Presented IEC 61439 standard in several seminars such as in Indonesia Engineers Association
  (BEA) in 2013, PT Duta Listik Graha Prima in Aug 2014 & 2015 and Institute of Integrated
   Electrical Engineers of The Philippines Inc. (IIEE) in 2014.
• Recently conducted a seminar on IEC 61439 Low-Voltage Switchgear & Control Gear
  Assemblies in Connecxion Nexus auditorium on 3 March 2017.
