SYNOPSIS

he next generation telecom networks (5G) have started hitting the market and will continue to expand worldwide. Beyond just speed improvements, 5G is expected to unleash a massive IoT ecosystem where networks can serve communication needs for billions of connected devices. Apart from that this new technology is expected to enable innovative services, such as VR/AR, autonomous driving and etc. In this talk, we will cover 5G technology updates which includes the standards, terminal status, chipset status, 5G architecture and use cases. We will also dive into some practical questions in terms of challenges that Operators and Vendors are facing in embracing 5G.


SPEAKER’S BIODATA

Mr. Mohan has over 13 years of experience in telecommunication industry. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering Science in 2003 and Master Degree in 2008 from Multimedia University - MMU Cyberjaya and published several research papers in well-known journals such as IEEE. Currently he is working in CTO Group of ZTE. He has solid end to end knowledge covering RAN, core network as well as transmission. He has very insightful view on standardizations, business cases, trends of future technologies such as 5G, IoT, BigData etc.
