Talk on “Understanding the difference between Fire Resistant and Flame Retardant cables and the compliance to international standards together with testing procedures”.

Electrical cables and in particular fire resistant / flame retardant cables are an important part of electrical installation in buildings. At the same time, the correct selection of these products is a safety-relevant decision. During the seminar, various aspects of cable technology will be addressed, with the following main topics:

    Tests on cables, in particular the testing of fire performance
    Special parameters of cables
    Qualitative aspects, in particular certification & factory monitoring
    Examples and discussion


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Zbigniew Jozef Kaminski, born on 18 December 1962 in Bydgoszcz, has graduated with a Master's degree from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, specialization in Roads Streets and Airports with the overall grade "Good", and in accordance with the applicable regulations received a Master of Engineering (“Magister inzynier budownictwa”) degree on 9 October 1987.

In 1989, he enrolled for informatics course at DVO in Leverkusen/Germany. Since 1989, he has been active in various organizations and companies in Germany and Switzerland in the civil, mechanical and electrical industry. He is the Key Account and Business Development Manager at LEONI Studer AG in Daeniken/Switzerland (former Studer Cables) since 2006, responsible for the sales business in various regions of the world focusing on electrical and data cables, systems and services.
