SYNOPSIS

Since 2011, Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems Asia Sdn. Bhd. (TTDA) has been one of the leading engineering, technology and innovation enterprise in the power transmission & distribution (T&D) industry. TTDA, being a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation's T&D substation equipment and a full turnkey T&D systems engineering solutions provider with more than 25 years of experience in undertaking utility and industrial based project applications. TTDA's core businesses are: Manufacturing of Medium Voltage (MV) T&D equipment; Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning (EPCC) for T&D infrastructure projects (for regional market); Protection, Control & Automation systems provider (for regional market); and Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Systems provider (for regional market).

Our power generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructures need to be evolved to be more intelligent, efficient, optimise the supplies of electricity, minimise electric power losses, and enable end-user energy management. Smart grids today are self-healing, digital systems that help reduce carbon emissions and costs for both utilities and customers. This workshop will cover the Product Reliability & Customer Safety of High Voltage (HV) Switchgears and Smart Grid for Transmission & Distribution - Protection Control.


SPEAKER’S PROFILE

Mr. Ashishkumar B. Panchal has 20 Years of Learning Experience in the field of Transmission & Distribution product life cycle. End to end solution keeping QUALITY mindset for making profitable turn around by optimising TIME & COST. Transmission & Distribution products like MV switchgears, Power & Distribution Transformers, Outdoor disconnectors, DO fuses, Air Break switches, Horn Gap fuses, Terminal connectors, Erectioning & commissioning of MV substation. Also includes High Frequency transformers. International testing laboratories exposure like ERDA, CPRI, KEMA, IPH, ZKU, CESI, also with various certification body like ASTA, PHELA. He graduated with a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering and is currently the Position Switchgears, R&D Head of Department.

Mr. Abu Bakar Bin Abd. Rahim graduated with a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from University Teknologi Malaysia. He also has a Competent Certificate in Wireman with the Energy Commission of Malaysia.
