SYNOPSIS
HPUPM is 400-Bedded Teaching Hospital being built to provide medical facilities to UPM students, lecturers and public. It is a Design & Build project under JKR and implemented by Cawangan Kerja Pendidikan (CKP) and being built on 45 acres land. It is envisaged that this teaching hospital would be providing state-of-the-art facilities with latest equipment and up to date technology. In term of construction, the hospital has been built with the use of IBS. Major use of IBS components such as columns, beams and precast blocks have tremendously proven that the hospital could be constructed speedily and contributed to the neater construction site. This project has also achieved a 4-star pHJKR on Green Certification and to date being the only hospital project in JKR that attained the recognition.
HPUPM team consists of JKR Project Team, Contractor and Consultants have aspired to complete the project in March 2019 with multiple achievements to be the benchmark of JKR’s hospital projects. We strive to utilize Project Management Techniques at their best as well as deliver best practice in construction. Thus, we are aspiring to deliver the project with 12-in-1 which would be very much higher than such similar projects. As to date, we have completed more than 3 million Manhours Without Lost Time Injury and we anticipate to handover the project successfully to ensure the hospital could be in operation by 2019.
