SPEAKER’S BIODATA
MR JACK CARBONE
Mr Jack Carbone graduated from the Temple University, Philadelphia, USA with a Degree in Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering. He also completed his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont, USA. Jack is currently the senior engineer of Victaulic very much focusing on Fire Protection systems and solutions. He is a technical expert in fire protection system products specializing in fire protection valves and sprinklers, flexible sprinkler systems and providing application support for installers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) in USA. As a Victaulic Product Specialist, he is responsible for directing the development and growth of fire protection valves and has over 17 years in the fire protection industry. He is a NFPA member since 1999, a NFSA E&S Committee Member (2005-2012), a NFPA 13 AUT-SSI Committee Member (2011-2012) as well as a NFPA 13 AUT-SSD Committee Member (2011-2012). He had conducted numerous seminars to M&E consultants, fire contractors and building owners on topics related to mechanical piping systems. In addition, his insight experience in product development in Victaulic further complements his wonderful career.
SYNOPSIS
Session 1 : Basic Principles of Grooved Mechanical Joints
This session provides a comprehensive knowledge of grooved mechanical joints. Upon completion of this presentation, each participant will understand the history of the grooved joint, the anatomy of a grooved joint, and the design benefits of a grooved mechanical system.
Session 2 : Accommodating Pipe Movement / Noise & Vibration Attenuation
The purpose of this presentation is to provide each participant with the knowledge and skills needed, to explain how and why pipes move within a system, along with the various methods used to accommodate for the movement.
Session 3 : Flexible Hoses 101
Upon completion of this presentation, each participant will understand the history of flexible drops and how modern innovation is revolutionizing this fitting category with new technology.
