In the oil and gas industry, there are various type of structures involve to bring the crude oil from the offshore well to the onshore processing facilities. This talk will give a brief introduction on these structures. In particular, it will discuss the following points:
• Upstream, midstream and downstream structures, and how these structures have evolved from decades ago. • The differences between onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. • The detailed components of offshore structures – topsides and jacket. • The fabrication and installation processes of offshore structures.
Attending this talk will give engineers a good awareness to the oil & gas structures - A good exposure for them before the industry’s next boom!
