SYNOPSIS
The design of Living Quarters (LQ) architecture on a ship, tender barge and offshore structure is based on the General Arrangement (GA) of the requirement which is provided by the owner. The contractor will use the GA and specification to design the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) to the LQ. The importance is given to works involved in building the wall panel, ceiling panel, toilet module, public toilet, insulation, door, window, floating floor, railing, furniture and fitting, laundry equipment, galley equipment, gym equipment and hospital equipment amongst the others.
During this session, the speaker will touch on the following subjects:
• The Interface between HVAC, Electrical Cable and Fixture, Safety Arrangement and etc. • Selection of FIRE CLASS • The sound insulation material applies in the panel and ceiling. • The scope of work which gives importance to the right design and construction of the LQ
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Ir Leong Yeow Kee, has over 45 years of experience in various field of Engineering (Lead Mechanical Engineer, Acting Engineering Manager in O&G), Ship Repair Engineer/Manager, Pre-& Post Estimating Engineer in ship repair included tender project, Head M&R (MISC Wordwise Container) and Container Logistic He graduated from Bachelor of Science (Mechanical) in the year 1970. Ir. Leong is the member of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia.
