SYNOPSIS
Food safety is a major concern in the world, where the issues of food borne disease traceable back as early as mankind exist. Food business is a never ending story. Since its beginning, the industry has growth and with the introduction of new technologies and control, food safety issues remain the main focal point. A lot of actions has been taken in improving method, processing and control to ensure the concept of ‘from the farm to the fork’ work well with the food safety. Since its beginning, CODEX has plays a major roles in establishing and promoting the foundation of Food Safety in industry. The introduction of Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) has given a huge impact in changing the trends of food safety implementation throughout the industry. Since that, the introduction of more completed and structured Food Safety Management System (FSMS) by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has becoming a global trend. The demand from consumer and the need of export requires compliance justifying the needs and importance of organization to be certified with required FSMS. This program is highlighting the needs and importance of FSMS, with a brief introduction of global trends in food industry and the most demanded FSMS in the country and world.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Mr. Hasfaniezam bin Abu Hassan is a Food Agri Training Sector Leader in BSI Services Malaysia Sdn.Bhd. from 2016. His responsibilities in BSI Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. including to conduct training/tutoring for all Standard Based Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000 & FSSC 22000), BRC Global Standards (Food Safety), FSPCA PCQI (FSMA), TACCP (PAS 96/Food Defence), VACCP, BSI Catering Scheme, HALAL, ISO 39001 and ISO 31000). He also performing audit to confirm the compliance of any Standard Based Management System for certification. Advise the operation department on the planning of overall training activities conduct by BSI. He also develop training module for the needs of BSI and customer. He graduated from (UMS) in BSc Food Technology and Bioprocess in 2002. He started his career with Malaysia Cocoa (M) Sdn. Bhd. (Felda Holdings Bhd) as a Quality Assurance Executive from year 2002 to 2007. His responsibilities including as Deputy QMR for ISO 9001:2000 project, HACCP team member, oversee and review daily Processing Activities, developing procedures for ISO 9001 documentation and performing as a project coordinator. He was also performed routine QA analysis for raw material, packaging, in process and finished products (chemical and microbiology). He then joined SIRIM Berhad/SIRIM TRAINING SERVICES from 2007 to 2016 as a Consultant which to provides training and consulting on ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2004, OHSAS 18001, ISO 39001:2012 (RTSMS), HACCP MS 1480:2009, GMP, HALAL, ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 29001 (Oil & Gas). His responsibilities included generating commercial income for organization in training and consultation of any standard based management system. He also experienced in conducting 60 – 70 trainings and consultations on HALAL, Food Safety, QMS, EMS and OHSAS in Calendar year. He is also invited speaker on HALAL and FSMS for KKM & YAPIEM besides he successfully conducted in-house and public training, consultation program for HALAL, GMP and HACCP.
